Chiniot’s Javeria loses life after eyesight

The procedural complications and delay in releasing of cash money, announced by the government, took the life of Chiniot’s Javeria (8) who had earlier lost her eyesight due to the alleged negligence of doctors in a Lahore hospital the other night.

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had announced Rs five Lac support for treatment of the girl but due to procedural complications the amount could not be released in time for the help of the suffering child. Allah Yar, father of Javeria, had borrowed Rs 250,000 from a landlord for her treatment.Javeria, resident of a village in Chiniot was initially treated at Chiniot for pain in her eyes. Getting no relief, she was taken to the Allied Hospital in Faisalabad and then Fazal Umar Hospital in Chanab Nagar. Later, she was transferred to a childrens hospital in Lahore, where she remained under treatment for seven days.

According to the girls father, the doctors in the hospital prescribed eye drops for her which exacerbated her pain and made her lost her eyesight.

Unidentified Persons Kill Mian Iftikhar’s Son

Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain's son Mian Rashid has been killed and nephew Mian Amjad sustained injuries when unidentified persons opened fire on them in Noshehra on Saturday.

According to Dunya News correspondent, two unidentified persons opened fire in which 25-year-old Mian Rashid was killed in Pabbi Shair Garhi, an area of Noshehra. Mian Rashid's friend was also injured in the incident. Mian Rashid was walking in front of his house when the attacker targeted him. Sources said that Mian Rashid had received threats from unidentified persons. Mian Rashid had offered to provide security but he rejected the offer.

Mian Rashid and his cousin have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital. Police cordoned off the area and arrested four suspicious persons.

Federal Minister Bashir Bilour while talking to Dunya News strongly condemned the incident. He said that terrorists want to destabilize the country. He said that terrorists can't demoralize us.

ANP leader Asfandyar Wali while talking to Dunya News said that it was a cowardly incident and terrorists would not be succeeded in their purpose. He said that terrorism would be defeated.

PM Gilani telephoned Mian Iftikhar Hussain and condoled the killing of his son. Interior Minister Rehman Malik and MQM leader Altaf Hussain condemned the incident.

Nawaz is ‘insane’, Says Pervez Musharraf

Pakistan News: The bitter feud between political leaders is once again out in the open with former President Pervez Musharraf terming PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif an 'insane'.

Talking to the media in London, he said that Nawaz Sharif was twice elected to the office of Premier but failed to deliver. Now, he aspires to grab power for the third time with intent to looting the country again, he added. He said that his entry into politics has created tension among politicians and now time has come to counter criticism robustly. He further said that he has entered into politics and the era of silence has come to an end. He said that everybody would be handled with iron hands.

Back-to-Back 5 Blasts Hit Iqbal Town

Back-to-Back 5 Blasts Hit Iqbal Town, LAHORE: Five back-to-back blasts of low intesity have happened in Iqbal Town of Lahore within the last 45 minutes,? Friday. All the five blasts have taken place in the premises of Iqbal Town. The first blast occurred in an empty plot near crowded Moon Market in Kashmir Block. The second blast hit a car parked outside a house. The third blast occurred near Edhi Center in Kashmir Block located in Iqbal Town. The fourth blast has been reported outside the residence of a serving DSP again in Iqbal Tow. The fifth and the last blast has struck Karim Block.

No causality is reported din these attack. However, four people have received injuries.

It may be reminded here that dozens of people were killed in two blasts at Moon Market on December 7 last year. Earlier, at least 39 people were killed when two suicide bombers blew themselves up in R A Market near security forces' convoy.

Overall seven blasts have taken place in Lahore within 10 hours, killing at least 40 people, including securitymen, and injuring about 100 others.

The series of bomb blasts in the city has triggered panic and fear among the citizens.

Power Crisis Deepens Across The Country

LAHORE Pakistan News: Electricity crisis once again resurfaced across the country as power shortfall has reached to 3,500 MW. The duration of load shedding has also increased. The demand of electricity has been reached to 11,500 whereas production stands at 8,500 MW.

With the start of summer season, load shedding duration has extended up to 17 hours in small cities and towns and 10 to 12 hours in Lahore and other big cities.

PEPCO spokesman said the situation will be improve in coming few days when water level will be increased in the dams and it will also reduce load shedding span.

Pindi Protest: Youth Being Misused For Vested Interests, Says Rehman

Pakistan News:Referring to the Barah Koh and Faizabad protests, Interior Minister Rehman Malik has alleged that some politicians are trying to exploit the youngsters for their vested interests and directed Chief Commissioner Islamabad to take strict action in this regard.

Talking to media in Islamabad outside the National Assembly, Rehman noted that people have been brought from outside the twin cities to exacerbate the situation.

He said that action would be taken against the policemen who opened fire the other day on the mob.

He vowed to take the real culprits to task.
