In wake of a no-confidence motion that triggered a political turmoil, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider is set to quit, Dunya News reported on Monday.
Sources said that Farooq Haider is having consultations with his aides regarding his resignation at Kashmir House in Islamabad. PM Farooq Haider is likely to tender his resignation to President AJK Raja Zulqarnain after the return of PML-N's chief Nawaz Sharif from London sources added. After the likely resignation of the PM, the elections are mandatory to be held within 14 days.
Earlier, Muslim Conference moved a no-confidence motion against the incumbent AJK PM Raja Farooq Haider asking for his immediate replacement.

Talking to Dunya News, PM Raja Farooq Haider said that he would fight the dislodging campaign against him, if the PML-N patron asked him not to resign. He also called upon the assembly to review its decision.
Referring to the 18 ministers' resignation, he said that he is to accept the resignations not the president. Referring to Muslim Conference chief Sardar Attique, he said that he is habitual of overruling Constitution and laws. He maintained that only the Kashmiris should have the right to govern the region.
