Pakistan News: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain claimed that as many as 800 people have been killed in the flood hitting the province.
Talking to Dunya News in Peshawar on Saturday, Iftikhar said that the provincial government is making all-out relief efforts for the flood affectees. The minister said that he along with other government officials would pay a part of his salary for the flood victims. Mian Iftikhar deplored that so far none of the three provinces has contacted the provincial government regarding aid or help.
Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif said that President Asif Ali Zardari should visit flood-affected areas instead of visiting London. He urged the President that he should give the money of his London visit to the affectees.
