NA committee criticizes Housing Minister

Severe differences have become apparent between the officials of National Assembly Standing Committee on Housing and Construction and the Federal Minister for Housing and Works Rahmatullah Kakar. The officials have warned of resigning from committee against the unruly behavior of Minister Rehmat Ullah Kakar. The spokesman of Housing Ministry has declared the Chairman of the Committee as blackmailer.
Issues regarding the allotment of plots in Islamabads sector G3 and purchase of land by the Housing Foundation in the area of Bara Kaho were discussed. The committee members expressed severe reservations over the absence of Minister Rehmat Kakar during the session of the meeting.
During the session, the committee unearthed discrepancies in allotment of plots. Member of the committee Abdul Qadir Baloch informed the media that the issue will be taken up with the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the National Assembly.
The Housing Ministry alleged that the chairman is trying to blackmail the authority for personal interests.
