Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has ruled out holding of mid-term elections, Dunya News reported on Saturday. During an inauguration ceremony of a power plant at Head Baloki on Saturday, the PM said that he has no clash with the Chief Justice of Supreme Court. 'I am on good terms with the CJ; you may ask him if you have any doubts'. He said that Pakistan People's Party did not believe in confrontational politics. He categorically stated that the government would not protect the fake degree holders and added that by-polls would be held only if when any seat falls vacant after disqualification of any candidate.
Answering a query, he said he would meet the HEC Chairman very soon. Replying to a question, the PM said that terrorism is a menace plaguing the whole country however, added that establishment of peace is altogether a provincial matter. Replying to a question on Indo-Pak talks, the PM said that Pakistan wants to resolve all the outstanding issues with India.
