A notification issued for the formation of a new Taluk of Tando Mohammad Khan, which also included some parts of the Hyderabad district has been withdrawn on Wednesday. A spokesman for the Sindh chief minister said that the withdrawal decision was made on the intervention of Qaim Ali Shah. Sources said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), a coalition partner in the Sindh government, had expressed reservation over the partition of the Hyderabad district. The notification was issued by the Board of Revenue on Tuesday.
