The Sindh government has decided to defer the filing of a review petition against the Supreme Court order that the Ranges director general and the Sindh inspector general of police should be removed within three days.
Earlier, the Supreme Court had ordered the removal of the two officials after a team of Rangers officials killed an innocent teenager in Benazir Park, Karachi.
According to Sindh Attorney General Fateh Malik, the appeal has been postponed on the advice of Pakistan People’s Party leader Babar Awan.
Malik said that the appeal would be filed once the investigations process into the killing was completed. He said that the Supreme Court orders would be implemented.
