Attabad Lake Water Rises To 355 Ft

Attabad lake water rises to 355 ftATTABAD: The water level at Attabad lake has surged to 355 feet critical level as the authorities have closed all movement towards the lake.The inflow of the water in lake has been estimated at 2500 cusecs. Chairman National Disaster Management Authority Lt. Gen.(Rtd) Nadeem Ahmed has said that no specific deadline can be given for discharge of the water from the lake through the spillway.





The administration has stopped unnecessary vehicular traffic from Hunza to Gilgit at 0-kilometer patch of Shahrah-e-Resham along the bank of Hunza River.


The military and civic bodies have taken necessary precautionary measures to meet any emergency.


The people in district Diamir living along the river have started evacuation on self help basis.
