Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani telephoned the Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday and discussed the national political scenario.
Besides discussing the issues of mutual interest, the two political figures exchanged views over the current political situation in the country.
Reportedly, both the political heavy-weights agreed that the former President (Retd) General Pervez Musharraff must appear before the Supreme Court of Pakistan and face the music.
They also agreed to carry on their efforts for stability and strengthening of democracy in the country, pledging the democratic system will be safeguarded at all cost.
Nawaz and PM Gilani also agreed to hold a meeting after MPL-N chief's return to Pakistan.
Besides, PM Gilani enquired after the heath of Sharif's ailing wife which, along with her family, is currently in London for medical treatment.
