Shahzad Reacted To Drone Strikes in Pakistan:FM Qureshi

NEW YORK : Faisal Shahzad tried to bomb Times Square as payback for American drone attacks in Pakistan, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Qureshi said.

In an interview to CBS NEWS, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Qureshi said, “This is a blowback. This is a reaction. This is retaliation. And you could expect that.” “Let’s not be naive. They’re going to fight back”.

The New York Post, a tabloid, citing law-enforcement sources, also said that Shahzad was an “eyewitness” to the unmanned “onslaught throughout the eight months he spent in Pakistan beginning last summer.”
