Pakistan News: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Tuesday telephoned London-based chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain, reported ARY NEWS.
The two leaders exchanged views on the situation in Karachi and recent hike of tension between Pakistan Peoples Party and MQM two coalition partners in Sindh and central governments.
The two leaders also discussed ways to strengthen ties and promoting cordial and smooth relationship between the two parties.
"The PM expressed his sorrow over misbehavior by few of the provincial ministers belonging to PPP in Sindh Assembly today," a statement issued by the MQM claimed, adding that the PM informed the MQM leader that President Asif Ali Zardari has also expressed his anger over the incident.
The President questions provincial interior minister Zulfiqar Mirza and minister for local bodies Agha Siraj Durrani over the incident, saying that the PPP wants to keep all its allies with it "while you two are ruining our policy of reconciliation," the statement added.
The President has also restricted the two ministers from making any inflammatory statement, the PM was quoted as telling the MQM chief.
