Pakistan News: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has decided to end its boycott of the Sindh assembly. It will attend the session today on Thursday, ARY NEWS reported.
The decision was taken after late-night intense negotiations involving MQM chief Altaf Hussain, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.
According to a handout issued by the Governor's House, the MQM agreed to end the boycott after progress was made in the talks.
The MQM agreed to attend the assembly session after Interior Minister Rehman Malik, who was sent by the president as a troubleshooter, held a second round of meeting with Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan and an MQM delegation led by Farooq Sattar at the Governor's House.
During the meeting the MQM coordination committee in London was contacted and Mr Hussain held telephonic conversations with President Zardari and Prime Minister Gilani
