Pakistan News: Asif Ali Zardari and PM Gilani whole felicitating the nation on Eid-ul-Fitr, urged them not to forget their fellow countrymen who have been affected by floods.
"This year's Eid festival is being celebrated on such a moment of history, when a large part of the country is under the devastation caused by floods before Ramazan. Millions of fellow countrymen are homeless and facing numerous difficulties," They said in their message to the nation on Eid.
They said; "Your love and sympathy will help address their miseries and pains. Reconstruction of the devastated towns, destroyed houses and the rehabilitation of flood affected people is our foremost priority and national obligation."
They said every section of the nation demonstrated commendable cooperation, sincerity and generosity to lessen the immense problems and hardships faced by the flood victims.
"No doubt, brave nations face challenges with courage and mettle," they added.
The President and the Prime Minister said today when the whole nation was busy day and night to help their flood affected brethren, the anti-state elements and terrorists were ruining peace in the cities and towns to achieve their nefarious objectives.
They said at the hands of these cruel people, neither the sanctity of Ramazan was protected nor had they any respect for human lives or faith.
"But it is the firm commitment of our nation that we will never let these terrorists and extremists succeed in their nefarious intentions and the fight against them would continue till their complete elimination," they said.
They thanked Almighty Allah, Who blessed all with courage and strength during the holy month of Ramazan; with the spirit to observe fasting and guided all to benefit from the bounties of this month and serve the needy brothers and sisters.
They said Eid-ul-Fitr is a joyous festival, which requires sharing joys with the flood affected brethren.
