Flood victims to get cooked food: ShahbazPakistan News LAHORE: Punjab's Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the government will punish those who in the past made no serious efforts to strengthen the protective bunds on the bank of rivers. He was speaking to newsmen after enquiring health of senior politician Javed Hashmi at Lahore's General Hospital today (Sunday)





"But at this moment, we are totally focused on providing emergency relief," he said.


The chief minister said thousands of people, shops and houses have been affected by this natural calamity.


"I am thankful to Army Chief for his full support in carrying out rescue operation," he said.


He said the government has also sent professional cooks to flood-hit areas so that cooked food could be provided to affected people.


He said the government will undertake a survey to exempt agricultural tax in flood-hit areas.
