KARACHI: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have agreed over amendments in local government laws in a meeting at Governor House here.
The meeting chaired by Governor of Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad continued late night, decided to table the local government amended bill in Sindh Assembly on Monday.
Fediral Interior Minister Rehman Malik attended the meeting on special invitation.
According to the sources government officials will be appointed administrators at local bodies.
Prior to the meeting, Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Governor Ishrat-ul-Ebad discussed law and order in the province and other issues.
They discussed progress in investigations into Chehlum bomb attacks in Karachi and expressed satisfaction over the steps taken for stopping target killings in Karachi.
