Pakistan News: PML-N patron Nawaz Sharif has alleged that the government is hindering the realization of a dream of an independent judiciary, and added that the non-implementation of Supreme Court orders is bringing bad name to those at the helm.
Talking to media after inquiring after those injured in Youm-e-Ali suicide attack in Lahore on Monday, Nawaz said that the 18th amendment was meant to strengthen democracy in the country, adding that, "Now it is incumbent upon the prime minister and the president to take care of it".
Replying to a question regarding the SC orders implementation, Nawaz said that the PM should advise the President in this regard.
"The country could not afford another martial law", Nawaz maintained. When asked about the APC and its agenda, the PML-N chief said "Convening of All Parties Conference is ill-timed".
