Naseerabad, Pakisatan News: Dadu city and adjoining villages have been inundated due to a breach in FP protective embankment. The breach is also threatening the Zamzma oil field located in the area. Flood waters can once again cause havoc in Warah city due to an increase in the water levels at Hamal Lake.
The flood waters are now gushing towards Naseerabad.
Water levels are on the rise again in Hamal and Manchar lakes due to heavy showers during the last couple of days. The local administration of Warah city has instructed people to leave the area. The irrigation department has decided to slash the MN drain from a dozen places in a bid to save cities including Dadu, Saeedabad, Khudaabad and Sehwan Sharif. A flow of 535,000 cusecs upstream and 570,000 cusecs downstream was recorded at Kotri barrage. A protective embankment on Indus river near Dera Ismail Khan collapsed endangering more floods in the area.
