Aitzaz Ahsan Sees No Order For Swiss Cases Reopening

PK NEWS: Senior lawyer and Pakistan Peoples Party stalwart Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan has claimed that Supreme Court of Pakistan didn't order the authorities to reopen Swiss cases. Talking to newsmen after attending a conference here Saturday, Ahsan claimed that Supreme Court in its verdict against National Reconciliation Ordinance did not issue orders for reopening corruption cases against President Asif Ali Zardari in Swiss courts. Former president Supreme Court Bar Association said that international laws restrict all the countries from summoning head of any other state in their courts. He said that criminal cases can not be filed against the office-holder of President of Pakistan as per Constitution. However, he added, the President may be impeached by the Parliament if he commits any wrongdoing.
