No War On Water Between Pak and India: Ranganathan

Pakistan News: Indus Waters Commissioner of India G Ranganathan has said water scarcity has been common between Pakistan and India which could not lead the two countries to war.


He was talking to media after signing of a memorandum for inspection of barrages on rivers.





Ranganathan said the two countries facing water scarcity due to lesser rainfall in the region.? India has been affected as much as Pakistan due to water shortage in Indus, he said.


He said a delegation of Pakistani water officials will visit India in March to hold formal talks on the issues related to river water.


Indus Commissioner of Pakistan Jamat Ali Shah informed the media that in the next round of the water talks India will present its data on water flow and discharge from Indus.
