Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said the visiting dignitary remained with him for some time and discussed matters of mutual interest.
Separately, Fluornoy, also called on General Tariq Majid, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) at the Joint Staff Headquarters and shared views on the evolving regional security situation, Pak-US defence cooperation and other issues of mutual interest to both countries.
Thanking the visiting dignitary for the support US is rendering to help Pakistan in managing its economic and security challenges, Chairman JCSC expressed that Pakistan espouses robust, multi dimensional and enduring relations with the US based on convergence of interests, mutual respect and trust.
He also spoke on the issue of regional balance of power and emphasised the need to understand and address Pakistan's core interests and security sensitivities.
US under secretary appreciated Pakistan's resolute efforts and sacrifices against terrorism and reiterated continued support to Pakistan on long term basis.
