PPP Membership Campaign Begins; Bilawal First Member

Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani have started the Pakistan People's Party membership campaign with their signatures; Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has been declared the first member.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minsiter Yusuf Raza Gilani began the membership campaign by signing their membership forms at a ceremony held here at Governor House Punjab on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, President Asif Ali Zardari said the old members of PPP should also fill out the forms along with the new members to renew their association with the party.

"PPP is growing stronger with every passing day defying all the conspiracies of the dictators," he asserted.

He said the history presents a clear record of numerous sacrifices rendered for the cause of democracy by the PPP.

The objective of the PPP's membership campaign is to transfer the reigns of the party to the new generation.
