Qaim Says Not Taken Into Confidence On CJ Link Canal Reopening

Sindh CM Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that he was not taken into confidence on reopening of Chashma Jhelum Link Canal. However, water shortage in Sindh has been ended.

Addressing a ceremony in Karachi Press Club, Sindh CM said that he will discuss the issue of reopening of CJ link canal with Punjab CM and the Prime Minister. He said that the canal was not mentioned in 1991 treaty. He said that water in all barrages is up to the mark and there is enough water for Kharif crops. He gave Rs 25 lac cheque for Karachi Press Club.
