Sialkot Lynching: Ex-DPO Chauhan¡¯s Bail Plea Deferred

Sialkot, Pakistan News: An anti-terrorism court of Gujranwala deferred the bail plea of ex-DPO Waqar Chauhan, one of the prime accused in Sialkot lynching case, till Sept 23 on Monday.

Police officials said that challan would be presented in the court on Sept 22 in this regard.

Justice Iftikhar Hussain sought explanation from the Investigation Officer (IO) when he was told by Waqar Chauhan's counsel the probe was still underway. The IO told the court that investigation is being conducted by special joint investigation team.

The court put off the case till Sept 23.
