Court Reserves Verdict on Maliks Plea For Acquittal

KARACHI Pakistan News: An accountability court here reserved its decision over a plea for acquittal of Interior Minister Rehman Malik in a reference filed by National Accountability Bureau.





The court reserved the verdict till March 04.


Malik was charged in the reference that as Deputy Director FIA he had given a contract of tarcoal export to Afghanistan to a relative.


Malik’s counsel Khwaja Naveed Advocate in his arguments said the charges against his client were politically motivated as the contract was awarded by federal minister Anwar Saifullah.
